I’ve been interested in photography from the time I was a young child. I can remember exploring the woods behind my grandmother’s mountain home with my old polaroid camera. Each time I spotted something beautiful, I snapped a picture. It didn’t take long for me to go through all the film and go back inside to beg my grandparents to buy more. When my photos developed, my grandmother would always marvel at what I had chosen to photograph. At first glance, my pictures seemed so random… tree bark, blades of grass, the dog’s back, a feather. But in all the random photos, there was one common theme: Texture.
I have always been fascinated with photographing texture. I look for fresh textures to add to my collection and snap one photo after another. I created this website to document my thoughts on photography and to connect with others who shared my passion for film.
